Coprosma ‘Taupata Gold’ is a medium-sized, evergreen New Zealand native shrub in the Rubiaceae family, prized for its glossy, variegated foliage with vibrant golden-yellow margins and deep green centres, forming a dense, rounded mound typically 0.9–1.8 metres tall and wide. It has an upright, multi-stemmed habit and is commonly used for hedging, mass planting, topiary, and containers, with its brightest colour developed in full sun. Small, inconspicuous pale-green flowers appear in spring, followed by orange-red berries on female plants, adding seasonal interest and value for birds.
