Corokia 'Clover' is a versatile and well-loved native shrub, and it's easy to see why. This evergreen shrub is prized for its dense, clover-green foliage that responds exceptionally well to shaping, while also holding its own as a lovely textural plant when left unclipped.

In autumn, Corokia 'Clover' produces small, golden, star-shaped flowers followed by tiny golden-yellow berries, a charming seasonal display that adds year-round interest to any garden.

Its short internodes give it a naturally dense and compact growth habit, making it one of the tidiest-looking natives you can plant with minimal effort.

Whether you're creating a formal clipped hedge, a contemporary garden structure, or a naturalistic backdrop, Corokia 'Clover' adapts beautifully. It is highly sought after for its coastal hardiness, disease resistance, and ease of growth. It's a plant that rewards both the hands-on gardener and those who simply want something that looks good without fuss.

Planting Tips: For hedging, plant 50–70 cm apart to achieve a dense, continuous screen. When used as a background or specimen plant, allow about 1–1.5 metres of space for adequate growth and air circulation. The best time to plant is from late spring to early summer. On clay soils, add extra topsoil and form raised beds, incorporating coarse sand, bark, or compost to improve drainage.

Ongoing Care: Mulch annually to suppress weeds and conserve moisture, keeping mulch away from the stem. A light application of general-purpose fertiliser in spring is beneficial. Regular pruning after flowering helps keep the plant compact
