Phormium 'Maggie' We found this cultivar among seedlings we propagated from seed collected off a mountain flax - Phormium cookianum- it shone out just like any blondy does. This took about 6 years to get the perfect green and white variegation on the leaves but well worth the wait. We now grow good numbers for sale in the nursery. They love it dry, grow to 1m, have flowers for the tuis and are a golden treasure to have in any garden big or small. Its striking cream-and-green leaves and manageable size make it a popular choice for modern landscape designs and low-maintenance planting schemes.
